World Gym has signed a Master Franchise Agreement with Flag Holding LTDA, paving the way for a major expansion across Brazil. The agreement aims to grow the brand’s presence to 50 locations throughout the country within five years.
Flag Holding LTDA is led by CEO Flavia Almeida, who currently co-owns and operates 17 World Gym locations in Goiás and the Federal District of Brasília. Since opening the first location in Brasília in 2012, Almeida has played a key role in establishing World Gym as a top fitness provider in the region, offering an extensive selection of strength and cardio equipment.
The agreement grants Flag Holding exclusive rights to expand World Gym across Brazil’s remaining states. If executed as planned, Brazil would become the third-largest market for World Gym globally, following Taiwan and Australia.
“We are thrilled to partner with Flag Holding LTDA and Flavia Almeida, whose vision and proven success in Goiás make them the ideal partner,” said John Caraccio, CEO of World Gym International.
Almeida noted that interest from prospective franchisees across Brazil is growing. “We have received strong interest from potential franchisees across Brazil, who desire to operate the iconic World Gym brand with its proven systems and IT support,” she said. “We have several franchise agreements pending completion at this time.”
The expansion is part of World Gym International’s broader strategy to partner with experienced operators in key regions to accelerate global growth. With this agreement, the company strengthens its footprint in South America and adds momentum to its international development efforts.
