ABC Fitness is expanding the use of artificial intelligence across its software platforms following the acquisitions of FitMetrics and Replify, with the technologies focused on different areas of gym operations and coaching.

The fitness technology company acquired Replify in July 2026 and has now added FitMetrics, an AI-assisted coaching platform used alongside ABC Trainerize. Financial terms for the acquisitions were not disclosed.

Replify provides the technology behind ABC AI Agents, which are designed to handle prospect and member communications across voice, text, email and chat. Tasks include lead qualification, tour scheduling and follow-up on missed calls.

FitMetrics focuses on coaching workflows. The platform consolidates client information and uses AI to assist with check-ins, progress analysis, draft programming and nutrition recommendations, client communications and administrative tasks.

The acquisitions give ABC Fitness AI capabilities on both the operational and coaching sides of fitness businesses, as technology providers increasingly introduce automation into functions traditionally handled manually by staff and trainers.

ABC Fitness reported that during one multi-location deployment in the second quarter of 2026, Replify's technology was associated with a tenfold increase in leads and automated 65% of call volume. The company also said FitMetrics customers reported doubling, and in some cases quadrupling, their coaching capacity through AI-assisted check-ins and centralized client data. The figures were provided by ABC Fitness and were not independently verified.

“ABC AI Agents are helping fitness businesses respond to prospects and members more quickly and consistently, but the opportunity extends well beyond the front desk," said Bill Davis, CEO of ABC Fitness. "FitMetrics brings that same practical approach to coaching, giving trainers more time to do what they do best. By turning client data into informed recommendations, coaches can streamline routine tasks and support more people without compromising the relationships at the heart of their work. It reflects our position at the forefront of practical AI innovation—connecting intelligence across business and coaching workflows so gyms, studios and coaches can operate more efficiently and deliver more personalized experiences at scale.”

FitMetrics was founded by Xenios Charalambous, who developed the platform after using ABC Trainerize to manage clients within his own coaching business.

The technology is designed to assist rather than independently make coaching decisions. Trainers can review and modify recommendations before applying them to individual clients. For multi-trainer businesses, the platform can also be used to standardize some routine processes across coaching teams.

“FitMetrics was built from the realities of running a coaching business and seeing how much valuable time coaches lose to repetitive analysis, check-ins and administration,” said Charalambous. “AI shouldn’t make coaching less personal. It should give coaches more capacity to make it personal. Joining ABC Fitness gives us the opportunity to bring that approach to more coaches and fitness businesses while keeping coaches firmly in control of the decisions and relationships that shape client progress.”

The additions are part of a broader AI strategy at ABC Fitness. The company already offers tools including an AI Churn Predictor, Intelligent Billing and AI Workout Builder, as well as infrastructure designed to connect other AI applications with ABC Fitness data and payment systems.

For fitness operators, the acquisitions illustrate two areas where AI is increasingly being incorporated into industry software: automating high-volume sales and member communications, and reducing administrative work associated with personal training and remote coaching.

The longer-term impact will depend on how operators and coaches use the technology and whether reported gains in efficiency and capacity translate across a broader range of fitness businesses.
