Canyon Ranch Tucson has been named the only resort in the Americas to receive a nomination for the first-ever MICHELIN Wellness Award, which recognizes the five best wellness hotels in the world. The award, introduced this year by The MICHELIN Guide, highlights properties that integrate health, fitness, and lifestyle programming into the guest experience.
According to The MICHELIN Guide, Canyon Ranch is “the original wellness resort that is still an undeniable trailblazer — where guests access the highest medical tech between hikes in the iconic Sonoran Desert.”
Canyon Ranch currently holds three MICHELIN Keys at its Tucson and Woodside, California locations, while its Lenox, Massachusetts resort has two, the highest rating in New England. The MICHELIN Wellness Award builds on this recognition by celebrating hotels that elevate wellness beyond traditional spa or fitness services, curating immersive programs that encourage long-term healthy habits.

Founded in 1979, Canyon Ranch Tucson spans the Sonoran Desert and features a large spa, medical and fitness centers, multiple dining venues, outdoor recreation facilities, and spaces for spiritual practice. The winner of the inaugural MICHELIN Wellness Award will be announced on October 8, 2025, during MICHELIN’s annual celebration, which will also unveil the 2025 MICHELIN Keys.
