Founders Club by 24 Hour Fitness is scheduled to open in Summerlin in early 2027. The 45,000-square-foot facility will combine large-scale strength training, recovery services, medical spa offerings and social spaces, with pre-opening memberships priced between $59.99 and $99.99 per month.
The announcement follows Mastrov's January 2026 return to 24 Hour Fitness as owner and executive chair after partnering with private investment firm LongRange Capital to acquire the company. Mastrov originally founded the business in 1983 and grew it to more than 400 clubs before selling it in 2005.
His return has been accompanied by a renewed focus on club investment, modernization and expansion, with Founders Club offering an early indication of how the company may approach future fitness facilities.
The new location will dedicate approximately 25,000 square feet to free weights and strength equipment, including 12 lifting platforms, alongside functional training areas, dedicated lower-body training zones and group fitness studios.
However, the investment extends well beyond traditional gym equipment. More than $1 million has been allocated to recovery technology, including hyperbaric chambers, red-light saunas, massage chairs and cold-therapy equipment. The facility will also feature a medical spa offering IV therapy and health services.
The combination reflects a broader shift in the fitness industry, where operators are increasingly incorporating recovery, wellness and lifestyle services into their business models to create additional value for members and differentiate themselves in a competitive market.
Founders Club will also include a café, juice bar, coworking-friendly lounge areas and community programming such as run clubs, morning coffee gatherings and recovery events. These additions are designed to encourage members to spend more time at the facility beyond their workouts.
"I've spent my career building thousands of gyms in more than sixty countries. This location and facility in Las Vegas is something special. Every detail reflects what I've learned about what members are actually looking for today," said Mastrov.
From a business perspective, the concept is notable for its combination of extensive amenities and relatively accessible membership pricing. At $59.99 to $99.99 per month during the pre-opening period, Founders Club is positioning itself between conventional fitness clubs and higher-priced luxury wellness facilities.
The company has not yet disclosed how its membership tiers will be structured, whether recovery and medical spa services will carry additional fees, or whether the Founders Club concept will expand to other markets.
The Las Vegas investment is also part of a broader effort to rebuild 24 Hour Fitness's presence in Southern Nevada. The company recently completed a reported $1.5 million renovation of its existing Summerlin club, while Mastrov has discussed evaluating additional locations in the market.
For 24 Hour Fitness, Founders Club represents an opportunity to test how a more comprehensive fitness and wellness offering resonates with consumers while maintaining a strong emphasis on equipment availability and strength training.
The strategy brings together several areas operators are increasingly exploring, including recovery services, premium amenities, community engagement and opportunities to generate revenue beyond traditional memberships.
Founders Club will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with membership registration beginning in November 2026 through FoundersClub24.com.
The project provides an early look at Mastrov's direction for 24 Hour Fitness as the company enters its next phase of growth, with the new concept potentially offering a model for future investments if successful.
