Planet Fitness has launched its annual October fundraising campaign supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America, continuing a partnership that has raised more than $12 million since 2016.
The campaign coincides with National Bullying Prevention Month and is part of Planet Fitness' Judgement Free Generation initiative, which focuses on youth development, inclusion and anti-bullying programs.
Throughout October, Planet Fitness members and guests can donate at participating club front desks, through in-club kiosks or online. According to the company, 100% of funds raised through the campaign will go to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
"Creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone feels like they belong is at the core of who we are at Planet Fitness," said McCall Gosselin, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Planet Fitness. "We're proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and succeed. This campaign is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared commitment to supporting the next generation."
Planet Fitness launched Judgement Free Generation in 2016. Since then, the company, its franchisees and members have contributed more than $12 million to related initiatives.
The partnership has also resulted in more than 50 mini Judgement Free Zones at Boys & Girls Clubs across the U.S. and specialized anti-bullying training for more than 1,100 Club staff members. Hundreds of young people have participated in Judgement Free Fit Days, while nearly $2 million has been awarded through academic scholarships.
This year's fundraising materials will also feature recipients of the 2026 Judgement Free Generation Scholarship. Planet Fitness awarded $250,000 to 50 Boys & Girls Clubs of America teens through the program this year, recognizing high school seniors for their involvement in their communities.
"For more than a decade, Planet Fitness has helped Club kids and teens build confidence, strengthen their well-being, and feel a sense of belonging," said Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "We know that when young people feel accepted and supported, they are more likely to thrive. Planet Fitness is helping reinforce the values of kindness and respect through initiatives like mini Judgement Free Zones®, scholarships, and anti-bullying programs. In fact, 92% of Club kids say being a good leader means treating others fairly. We're grateful for our partnership and their continued commitment to helping young people succeed."
For Planet Fitness, the campaign also represents a long-running community initiative that extends across its franchise network. By incorporating fundraising into its clubs and member touchpoints, the operator is using its national footprint to support a nonprofit partnership that has now been in place for a decade.
The October campaign will run throughout National Bullying Prevention Month, with donations supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America youth programming and related initiatives.
