Xponential Fitness, Inc. has appointed Mike Nuzzo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The announcement follows the resignation of former CEO Mark King, who stepped down from his role and the board of directors on August 7, 2025.
Nuzzo brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in consumer retail and service businesses. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Eyemart Express, where he oversaw a period of revenue growth across in-store and online channels, culminating in the company’s acquisition by VSP Vision earlier this year.
Before joining Eyemart Express, Nuzzo held senior roles at Petco, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he led a turnaround of the pet services division and launched an in-store veterinary hospital concept that expanded to over 200 locations. He also played a role in Petco’s 2016 sale transaction, its 2021 initial public offering, and its market entry into Canada and Mexico.
His earlier career includes leadership positions at 4moms, General Nutrition Centers, and Abercrombie and Fitch. Nuzzo currently serves on the boards of KinderCare Learning Companies and Fleet Farm. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College.
“I’m honored to join Xponential Fitness at such a pivotal time in the Company’s growth journey,” said Nuzzo. “With a strong portfolio of brands and a clear commitment to becoming the franchisor of choice, Xponential is well-positioned to expand its footprint across the U.S. and international markets. I’m excited to build on this momentum and deliver meaningful value for our franchisees, members, and stakeholders.”
Mark Grabowski, Chairman of Xponential Fitness, said the board fully supports the appointment.
“The Board is confident in Mike’s proven track record of operational excellence and strategic leadership, having delivered results across some of the most recognized names in the consumer services industry,” said Grabowski. “Mike’s experience scaling businesses and driving innovation, both domestically and internationally, makes him the ideal choice to lead Xponential. We’re excited about the future and thank Mr. King for his impactful contributions as CEO.”
Xponential Fitness owns and operates a portfolio of boutique fitness brands across multiple modalities, including pilates, cycling, yoga, boxing, and strength training. The company continues to focus on expanding its franchise model in both domestic and global markets.
