CR Fitness Holdings, one of the largest Crunch Fitness franchise groups, will offer complimentary personal training sessions across its 98 open clubs as part of a one-day event on Saturday, August 29.
The event, called TRAINing Day, will take place at CR Fitness Holdings-operated Crunch Fitness locations across Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. The franchise group says more than one million members will be eligible to participate.
Members will have access to two complimentary 30-minute personal training sessions. To receive the second session, members must complete their first session on August 29.
The initiative gives CR Fitness an opportunity to introduce more of its existing membership base to personal training and individualized coaching. Sessions may cover areas including strength training, functional fitness, mobility, nutrition and recovery.
“At CR Fitness, we believe personal training is about more than just the workout - it's about giving members the knowledge, motivation, and customized routines to build sustainable fitness habits,” said Tony Scrimale, CEO of CR Fitness Holdings. “TRAINing Day reflects our commitment to helping every member achieve their goals by connecting them with certified fitness professionals who provide personalized guidance, encouragement, and proven results.”
The event will span all three CR Fitness Holdings entities: CR Fitness Holdings LLC, Southwest Fitness Holdings LLC and Blue Ridge Fitness Holdings LLC.
Members participating in TRAINing Day will also be eligible for personal training giveaways. One member will receive 50 complimentary training sessions, while five additional members will each receive 10 sessions.
Beyond personal training, CR Fitness clubs offer training areas and equipment including HIITZone, Performance Turf and Booty Builder equipment.
The event comes as CR Fitness continues to grow its Crunch Fitness portfolio. Operating the promotion across 98 clubs also provides the franchise group with an opportunity to expose members to personal training at scale, potentially creating a pathway from the company's lower-cost gym memberships into higher-touch coaching services.
CR Fitness is also running a membership promotion through the end of August, with prospective members able to join participating clubs for one cent plus 30 days free. Memberships start at $9.99 per month.
