Eight Sleep has secured $100 million in funding to accelerate the development of its AI-powered sleep platform, expand into medical applications, and continue international growth, including entry into China. The round included HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, and investors from the motorsport world such as Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and McLaren CEO Zak Brown.
The company reports more than $500 million in Pod sales since launch, a tenfold increase in revenue, and over one billion hours of sleep data analyzed from customers in more than 30 countries. Its portfolio spans hardware, software, artificial intelligence, and supplements.
“Eight Sleep has developed a turn-key solution for sleep and health optimization: hardware, software, AI, and consumer goods that dynamically adjust around each person’s needs,” said Matteo Franceschetti, Co-Founder and CEO. “This new funding enables us to accelerate the deployment of AI for sleep optimization, expand into medical applications like menopausal sleep and sleep apnea, and bring our technology to millions of people around the world.”
The company’s next step is the development of its AI-powered Sleep Agent, designed to interpret biometric data, create digital simulations, and make real-time adjustments to factors such as temperature and elevation. Eight Sleep has also launched Hot Flash Mode, a feature that uses dynamic cooling to provide relief from menopause-related symptoms, and is pursuing additional interventions for sleep apnea with plans to seek FDA approval for certain uses.
Already shipping to over 30 countries, Eight Sleep plans to enter the Chinese market as part of its global expansion strategy. The company positions this move as a milestone in establishing its brand as a leader in sleep technology worldwide.
