Life Time has completed its 55th dedicated Work Lounge, with more than 30 additional spaces in development and set to open through next year. The company is repurposing space inside its existing clubs to provide members with areas designed for productivity alongside health and wellness amenities.

The lounges, included in membership at participating locations, feature seating, design elements similar to the company’s coworking brand Life Time Work, and high-speed connectivity. They are intended for members who want a place to work, meet, or take a break while extending their time at the club.

“Life Time has always been more than a place for health and wellness, it’s a comprehensive healthy lifestyle destination with an entire ecosystem where our members can live, work and play,” said Parham Javaheri, Life Time’s President of Club Operations and Chief Development Officer. “Our Work Lounges are a direct response to member demand for more flexibility, giving them a place to be productive where they prioritize their health, while creating even more reasons to enjoy our clubs longer.”

In addition to the standard complimentary lounges, 10 athletic country clubs have introduced premium, fee-based versions. These areas include printing services, phone booths, collaboration nooks, and conference room access. Members can add the premium lounge option to their monthly dues or purchase day access.

The initiative builds on Life Time Work, the company’s coworking brand launched in 2018. Life Time Work currently operates 15 locations in nine states. A membership at one of these dedicated facilities includes access to the broader Life Time network of 185 athletic country clubs across the country.
