ŌURA has entered a long-term agreement with Team Finland to serve as the team’s official wearable for continuous health and fitness tracking. The deal will run through the 2028 Summer Olympics and the 2030 Winter Olympics, covering two Olympic cycles.

Under the agreement, Finnish Olympic athletes will receive the Oura Ring to monitor sleep, recovery, cardiovascular metrics, and overall readiness. Many athletes were already using the device during the 2026 Winter Olympics, where Finland earned six medals across multiple winter sports.

The collaboration centers on integrating continuous biometric tracking into daily training environments. The data is intended to complement existing coaching and sports science programs rather than replace them. Coaches and support staff will have access to long-term trends in recovery and readiness, allowing them to adjust workloads and competition preparation over time.

The partnership also includes Finland’s Next Generation Team, a development group of emerging athletes identified as future Olympic contenders. Extending the same monitoring tools to younger competitors aims to create continuity in how training load and recovery are managed from early international events through senior-level competition.

In addition to performance support, the two organizations plan to conduct joint health research. The focus will be on how sleep behaviors, recovery patterns, and physiological stress markers correlate with sustained performance across multiple seasons. Over several years, the dataset could offer insights into adaptation, resilience, and injury risk management in high-performance sport.

For athletes such as cross-country skier Lauri Vuorinen, recovery tracking has become part of the daily routine. Monitoring overnight recovery and readiness scores can help determine when to push training intensity and when to scale back, particularly in endurance disciplines where overreaching carries significant risk.

The agreement expands ŌURA’s presence in Olympic sport. The company has previously aligned with other national teams and will also serve as the official wearable of Team USA and the LA28 Games.
