Planet Fitness Ranks as Top Fitness Brand on USA Today’s Best Customer Service List

Planet Fitness has been named to USA Today’s America’s Best Customer Service list for 2026, ranking 38th overall and earning the top spot among fitness brands.

The annual list, produced in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, evaluated 750 companies across industries using a large-scale customer survey, online reviews, and publicly available data. The rankings focus on how customers experience service in real-world interactions, both in person and online.

For Planet Fitness, the recognition reflects a model built around accessibility, consistency, and a non-intimidating environment. The company’s “Judgement Free” approach has long been central to its positioning, particularly as it continues to grow its footprint across the U.S. and serve a broad member base that includes many first-time gym users.

Planet Fitness CEO Colleen Keating said the ranking underscores the role employees and franchisees play in shaping the member experience, noting that customer service is closely tied to the brand’s mission of providing affordable, high-value fitness.

Memberships include access to certified fitness trainers, a mix of strength and branded cardio equipment, and the Planet Fitness app, which offers on-demand digital workouts. Many locations operate 24 hours, and the brand now spans more than 2,800 clubs nationwide.
