Wellness travel continues to expand beyond spas and retreats, and the cruise industry is increasingly stepping into that space. StarCruises has announced a new partnership with Under Armour, launching Fitness @ Sea, a fitness-focused cruise experience aboard the Star Voyager.
The four-night roundtrip sailing runs from January 19 to 23, 2026, departing from Port Klang with stops in Phuket and Singapore. The voyage is part of Star Voyager’s limited-time deployment, which operates between December 19, 2025, and February 2, 2026.
According to StarCruises, the initiative reflects how cruising is evolving beyond a purely leisure-driven model toward experiences that integrate movement, wellness, and adventure. Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, said the collaboration is designed to give guests a way to stay active while still enjoying everything a traditional cruise offers, all within a single, cohesive experience.
Under Armour views the partnership as an extension of its broader performance philosophy. Samantha Lim, commercial director of Under Armour Malaysia, said the brand is built around the idea that performance is a mindset rather than a place, and that Fitness @ Sea showcases new ways for guests to train, recharge, and engage with fitness in a nontraditional environment. The company expects the experience to resonate strongly with Malaysian fitness enthusiasts looking for active travel options.
The cruise is designed for guests who want to maintain an active routine without sacrificing the appeal of a holiday. Branded around the message “Train Different. Cruise Different,” the program brings an Under Armour certified trainer onboard to curate a schedule of fitness programming throughout the sailing.
Workouts available to guests include Animal Flow, Serenity Pilates, and Beast Mode functional training sessions and challenges. All activities are complimentary and open to guests of all fitness levels, with sign-ups available onboard at embarkation on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests who complete the full series of workouts will receive Under Armour merchandise.
Beyond the fitness programming, guests also have access to complimentary dining at selected restaurants, a range of recreational activities, and international entertainment, all included as part of the cruise experience. As wellness-driven travel continues to gain traction, collaborations like Fitness @ Sea highlight how brands across fitness, apparel, and hospitality are finding new ways to meet consumers where travel and lifestyle increasingly intersect.
