WHOOP will soon integrate clinical lab testing into its wearable platform through a new feature called WHOOP Advanced Labs, with Quest Diagnostics serving as the U.S. laboratory provider. The service is scheduled to launch this fall.

The feature will allow members to purchase lab tests, book appointments at Quest locations, and receive results directly within the WHOOP app. Quest operates about 2,000 patient service centers nationwide and also offers mobile phlebotomy services.

WHOOP currently tracks recovery, sleep, and training metrics through wearable sensors. The addition of lab testing is intended to give members access to biomarker data related to metabolism, hormones, inflammation, cardiovascular health, and nutrient status. These types of tests are typically ordered by physicians for patient care. A third-party provider will review requests, order the tests, and return results through the app. Members may also request a phone consultation about their results.

Company executives said the integration represents a step toward expanding access to clinical data that may help consumers identify potential health issues earlier and make lifestyle adjustments. “By bringing Quest’s lab testing into the WHOOP experience, we’re taking a pivotal step forward in helping people access and act on the power of blood testing,” said John Sullivan, chief marketing officer at WHOOP.

Richard Adams, senior vice president of Quest Consumer, said the collaboration reflects broader demand. “Health-minded consumers want insights from lab testing beyond the annual checkup,” he said.

A waitlist for WHOOP Advanced Labs is now available through the company’s website.
