Club Pilates is expanding its annual 80s Week into a broader Decades Week, introducing six days of themed programming across participating studios from September 21 through September 26.
The event builds on the Pilates franchise's existing 80s Week tradition, which used themed music, clothing and in-studio activities to drive member participation. The expanded format will move through several decades, beginning with the 1960s and ending with a wrap party incorporating all eras.
Each day will feature a different theme, including "Peace, Love & Pilates" for the 1960s, "Disco & Strength" for the 1970s, an 1980s-themed day, "Throwback Flow" for the 1990s and "Y2K Pilates" for the 2000s. Participating studios will incorporate themed playlists, raffles and in-studio pop-ups, with members encouraged to dress according to each day's decade.
"We are thrilled to introduce Decades Week to our studios,” said Club Pilates President Tianna Strateman. “By expanding to Decades Week, we aren't just adding a nostalgic twist to our classes; we are reinforcing our core belief that Club Pilates is truly for everyBODY. It is inspiring to see our local studios take this vibrant, inclusive energy and extend it outward to unite their communities. No matter which decade moves you most, our mission remains the same: Do Pilates Do Life!"
The initiative provides Club Pilates studios with a coordinated member-engagement campaign that can be adapted at the local level. Expanding the event beyond its original 1980s focus also gives studios multiple opportunities during the week to use music, nostalgia and social activities around their regular class programming.
For fitness operators, themed programming can serve as a relatively low-complexity way to add variety to the member experience without introducing a new workout format or significant changes to existing schedules. It can also generate opportunities for member participation and social content outside the workout itself.
Decades Week concludes September 26 with a wrap party combining the different eras represented throughout the week.
The campaign comes as fitness brands continue to experiment with experiences that extend beyond the workout itself, using events and community programming as part of their broader member engagement strategies.
