NFL Quarterback Josh Allen Named Therabody’s First-Ever Performance Advisor

Therabody has expanded its partnership with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, naming him both a Therabody Athlete and the company’s first-ever Performance Advisor. The appointment formalizes a relationship that began during Allen’s rookie season, when founder Dr. Jason Wersland introduced him to the original Theragun.
Allen has been an investor in Therabody since the early years of his career. The company said his new responsibilities will include contributing to product development and supporting athlete education efforts.
“Seven years in, and I still reach for my Theragun before and after every workout, every practice, and every game,” Allen said. “It’s not just recovery for me, it’s preparation. That’s why I’m excited to step into this new role as Performance Advisor, to help bring that same mindset and insight into product development and show people that this isn’t just about feeling better, it’s about performing better.”
Dr. Wersland emphasized the continuity of the relationship, saying: “Back when I handed Josh his first Theragun, I knew it was the start of something special. He’s all about pushing limits and staying at the top of his game, and that’s exactly what Therabody is built for. We’re pumped to officially have him on board as a Therabody Athlete and Performance Advisor — he brings the same energy to our mission that he does to the field.”
The announcement coincides with Therabody’s new marketing campaign, featuring Allen in two national commercial spots. The ads are designed to show how recovery methods translate to performance, while incorporating humor. Jordan Palmer, Allen’s longtime private quarterback coach, has joined Therabody as a brand ambassador and provides the narration for the campaign’s lead commercial.
As Performance Advisor, Allen will provide input on the design and function of Therabody’s tools, drawing on his experience as an active NFL player. According to the company, Allen uses the Theragun PRO Plus, JetBoots PRO Plus, and ThermBack LED as part of his daily preparation and recovery routines.
To mark the partnership, Therabody will also launch two exclusive Josh Allen Performance Bundles in the U.S., available for a limited time through Therabody.com. Each bundle is built around Allen’s personal recovery routine and features the same tools he incorporates into his season.
