Universal Pictures Content Group has partnered with technology platform Sudor to expand its portfolio of wellness apps, beginning with Own Your Goals, led by Davina McCall and her community of more than 300,000 users.
The partnership comes as demand for digital fitness continues to grow and content creators seek sustainable business models. Universal said it selected Sudor’s platform because it is built specifically for creators, offering control over content, pricing, data, and community engagement.
Sudor reports an average subscriber retention rate of more than 94 percent. The company’s approach contrasts with ad-based platforms, which typically control user data, set business terms, and retain a large share of revenue.
“The creator economy is projected to reach $480 billion by 2027, with fitness among its fastest-growing segments,” Universal said. “Creators are driving this growth, building communities, shaping culture, and fueling engagement.”
Emma Heap, Co-Founder and CEO of Sudor, described the collaboration as a step forward for both companies. “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Universal to help scale Own Your Goals,” Heap said. “It’s one of the UK’s leading wellness apps for women, already making a meaningful impact on tens of thousands of lives. Now, we’re building the infrastructure to take that even further.”
Universal stated the partnership reflects its long-term strategy to provide scalable infrastructure that supports talent and enhances creator-led growth.
