WHOOP’s latest wearable, the WHOOP MG, has been recognized by TIME as one of the 300 most groundbreaking inventions of 2025. The annual list highlights innovations that are shaping how people live, work, and improve their health.
The new device builds on WHOOP’s data-driven approach to human performance and longevity. According to the company, WHOOP MG introduces a number of upgrades, including a 14-day battery life, a smaller form factor, and new features such as Healthspan with WHOOP Age, Heart Screener with on-demand ECG, and Blood Pressure Insights.
WHOOP has also introduced Advanced Labs, a new service integrating blood testing with continuous wearable data. Members can upload previous bloodwork or schedule WHOOP’s own lab panel to gain what the company describes as a more complete health profile.
In a statement, WHOOP Founder and CEO Will Ahmed said, “WHOOP MG represents the culmination of over a decade of innovation dedicated to helping people live longer, healthier lives.” He added that recognition from TIME reflects how wearable technology is evolving beyond activity tracking to provide clinical-level insights for consumers.
To determine this year’s list, TIME editors and correspondents evaluated nominees across categories such as health care and AI, assessing each based on originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.
The acknowledgment places WHOOP among a growing number of fitness technology companies bridging the gap between consumer wearables and preventive health, an area gaining increasing traction within both the fitness and medical industries.
