As demand for personalized health insights grows, a new partnership in Toronto is aiming to bring data-informed decision-making directly to the fitness floor. Stride, a digital-first health optimization company, has partnered with UNITY Fitness Harbourfront to introduce a membership that combines advanced diagnostics with gym access, recovery services, and wellness programming. The program, called UNITY360, launches on May 29.
The initiative reflects a broader trend in the wellness sector: a shift toward individualized, preventative health approaches. With consumers increasingly seeking tools to manage their well-being through data—rather than relying solely on traditional healthcare—fitness businesses are exploring ways to integrate diagnostics and lifestyle tracking into their service models.
UNITY360 members will receive access to testing for genetic markers, gut health, and aerobic capacity, among other metrics. The goal is to provide users with a more precise understanding of how their bodies function and respond to various interventions, including exercise, nutrition, and recovery routines.
“This collaboration is about making optimal health accessible and actionable,” said Josh Allan, Director of Fitness and Athletics at UNITY. “The UNITY 360 membership is designed to prioritise health span over life span, providing our community with an all-encompassing and actionable approach to wellness.”
The program also includes VO2 max and musculoskeletal assessments, Myodetox sessions at reduced rates, and early access to a forthcoming blood biomarker service from Stride. According to the companies, the model is inspired by offerings in markets like Los Angeles and New York, where performance optimization and bio-individual tracking have seen wider adoption.
Andrew Steele, CEO of Stride, said the partnership aims to deliver health insights in spaces where people are already taking action on their well-being. “Through this partnership with UNITY, we’re bringing scientifically-backed, data-informed health insights directly to where people move, train, and recover.”
UNITY reports that it currently has over 4,200 active members, including more than 1,200 corporate accounts. The new UNITY360 tier starts at $280 CAD per month with a 12-month commitment. Memberships include exclusive access to workshops and events, along with priority booking for services.
The partnership arrives as both brands approach their one-year anniversaries, and it signals an early attempt to mainstream health optimization within the Canadian fitness market. While the long-term adoption of such models remains to be seen, early interest suggests growing consumer appetite for integrated approaches that combine fitness, diagnostics, and personalized planning.
