Four-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Mo Farah has officially launched URUNN, a new AI-powered running app designed to provide personalised coaching and training support for runners at all levels. The platform was co-founded alongside Farah’s longtime training partner and 2024 Manchester Marathon winner, Adam Clarke, in partnership with fitness technology company WithU.

Billed as a “personal running coach in your pocket,” URUNN offers adaptive training plans that evolve in real time based on a user’s pace, experience, lifestyle, recovery needs, and specific race goals. The platform is aimed at runners of all abilities and draws on decades of elite training and coaching experience.

Training programs are available for a range of race distances—from 5K to full marathons—with flexible plans spanning six to 28 weeks. Each plan is generated by AI technology designed to mimic the responsiveness of a human coach, providing structure and adjustments as a runner progresses.

“Using the knowledge and experience that I have acquired over my career, l am now in a position where I can share everything I know to help other runners,” said Sir Mo Farah, URUNN Co-Founder. “The beauty of running is that every milestone is a huge achievement. Whether that’s improving your 5K time or training for your first marathon. In my mind, if you’re trying to get better, you’re already a performance runner – so you deserve to be coached like one.”

Co-founder and CEO Adam Clarke emphasized the need for personalised training over generic programs. “URUNN isn’t just another training app. It’s built by people who live and breathe the sport,” said Clarke. “We’ve seen firsthand how generic plans often fall short, because no two runners are the same. That’s why we’ve created something smarter, with personalised coaching that adapts to you, not the other way around.”

In addition to AI-generated training plans, users have access to real-time audio and visual pace guidance from coaches including Farah, Clarke, elite marathoner Charlotte Purdue, and TrackLife LDN’s Rory Knight. The app also includes 24/7 support through its Stride AI companion, as well as social features like Community Chat and a Run Feed designed to foster connection and encouragement among members.

“With URUNN, we want to give every runner – no matter their level – the opportunity to train with the structure, expert insight and bespoke attention I’ve been lucky enough to experience throughout my career,” Farah said. “As a URUNN member, we meet you where you are, then help you push to the next level.”

Additional training formats and distances are planned for future updates, according to the company.
