Dove and Club Pilates Launch Inclusive Initiative to Challenge "Pilates Body" Stereotypes

As International Pilates Month wraps up, Dove and Club Pilates are launching a new push to make Pilates more inclusive. Their joint initiative, #EveryBodyPilates, is designed to break down barriers and invite more people to explore Pilates, regardless of body type or experience level.

On May 31, select Club Pilates studios across the U.S. will offer free Level 1 Reformer Pilates classes. Locations in major cities—New York City, Houston, Miami, Chicago, and Los Angeles—will host these sessions at 5 p.m. local time. The goal is simple: get more people moving and feeling good, without the usual pressure tied to appearance or preconceived body ideals.

"At Dove, we recognize that too often, fitness conversations focus on appearance rather than ability—which can undermine women's body confidence," said Kathryn Holl Fernandez, Head of Dove US Skin Cleansing & Brand Purpose. "As a leader in self-esteem, we are proud to partner with Club Pilates and empower women to redefine what a 'Pilates body' looks like and help them feel strong, capable, and confident in every movement."

For Club Pilates, this initiative underscores its broader mission of accessibility and community. "At Club Pilates, we have always celebrated all body types, ability levels and walks of life, as we believe Pilates is truly for every body," said Tianna Strateman, President of Club Pilates. "We are excited to bring our and Dove's missions of body confidence to life through these #EveryBodyPilates classes around the country."

The campaign also includes a giveaway that encourages participants to share their Pilates experience on social media. Five winners will receive a month of unlimited Club Pilates classes, along with Dove skincare products. Those interested can enter by tagging the brands and using the hashtags #EveryBodyPilates and #Sweepstakes.

With this collaboration, Dove and Club Pilates are not only providing a free fitness opportunity but also challenging the outdated idea of a "Pilates body." Instead, the focus is on what movement can do for health and confidence—no matter who steps onto the Reformer.

For studio operators and fitness business professionals, the partnership highlights a growing trend: brands are moving beyond aesthetics and finding new ways to promote body confidence and inclusivity in fitness spaces.
