Gold’s Gym is expanding across several U.S. markets as it marks its 60th year in the fitness industry. The company recently opened a corporate flagship facility in Austin, a premium location at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, and North America’s first HYROX Performance Center near Dallas.
The new 30,000-square-foot Austin location at 7301 Burnet Road opened on June 30. It is the company’s largest investment in Texas to date. The facility includes HIIT zones, a 70-by-15-foot turf area, functional training spaces, a private posing room, and recovery features such as HydroMassage chairs and CryoLounge technology.
“Our newest openings reflect our continued commitment to meeting members where they are in their fitness journey while staying ahead of industry trends,” said Danny Waggoner, co-CEO of Gold’s Gym. “Whether it's world-class strength training or cutting-edge performance competition, we're delivering bold tools and inspiring spaces that speak to the dedicated fitness community.”
In Los Angeles, a new location opened July 14 inside the Beverly Center at 8500 Beverly Blvd. Operated by Gold’s Gym SoCal, the facility includes an Atlantis Strength training area, the largest indoor turf in the Gold’s Gym system, and amenities such as steam rooms and saunas.
The company has also partnered with HYROX, a global fitness racing series. The first HYROX Performance Center opened June 6 in Little Elm, Texas, offering competition-grade equipment and coaching. Additional HYROX facilities are expected to open in the future.
Other recent openings include locations at the NoMaCNTR in Washington, D.C., and in Hamilton, California, near San Jose. Both clubs feature updated designs modeled after Gold’s Gym’s original Venice Beach location.
Further developments are planned for later this year, including an expansion of the San Antonio Bandera Trails gym. That facility will gain more than 5,000 square feet of additional workout space and new equipment.
Gold’s Gym has opened four new locations in 2025, with more franchise sites scheduled to launch through next year. The expansion aligns with broader trends in the fitness industry, particularly in strength training and functional fitness.
