Life Time is continuing its Florida expansion with the opening of Life Time West Boca on December 19, marking the company’s sixth destination in the state and its first adults-only boutique club in Florida. The 37,000 square foot location opens nearly 25 years after Life Time debuted in the state with its first Florida club in 2006, signaling how the brand’s footprint and concept have evolved alongside changing consumer expectations around fitness, wellness, and lifestyle.
Located in the Uptown Boca development, Life Time West Boca represents a more intimate, design-forward iteration of the company’s athletic country club model. Built exclusively for adults, the club is positioned around performance, recovery, and community, offering a streamlined experience compared to Life Time’s larger full-service destinations. The focus is on fitness as a daily ritual rather than a task, with members moving fluidly between training, recovery, and social spaces.
The Uptown Boca club is also the first Life Time location in Florida to introduce CTR, the company’s new reformer-based training program. CTR blends elements of Pilates with athletic conditioning, delivered in a music-driven group class format led by elite coaches. The eight-part training sequence emphasizes strength, stability, control, and movement quality, and has quickly become one of the most in-demand formats across Life Time’s portfolio.
“Uptown Boca has quickly emerged as a vibrant lifestyle hub in West Boca Raton and the addition of Life Time further complements how today’s wellness-centric residents live, work and play,” said Parham Javahri, Life Time Executive Vice President, President of Club Operations and Chief Property Development Officer. “Introducing CTR, our athletic-based training class on a reformer, to Florida elevates the experience even more, delivering one of Life Time’s most in-demand, results-driven training formats for West Boca members.”
Beyond CTR, the club includes a range of performance and recovery offerings designed to support both independent training and coached experiences. The fitness floor features premium strength and conditioning equipment, free weights, cardio machines, and functional training zones, alongside dedicated studios for formats such as GTX, Pilates, yoga, barre, and large group fitness classes. An Alpha training space supports higher-intensity workouts, while a recovery and physical therapy lounge offers tools and programming focused on mobility, stretching, and performance optimization.
Recovery plays a central role in the West Boca concept. Members have access to a co-ed wet suite that includes a cold plunge, whirlpool, steam room, and cedar sauna. LifeSpa services, including massage, are available to both members and non-members, reinforcing Life Time’s broader positioning around integrated wellness rather than fitness alone.
Social and lifestyle elements are also woven into the design. Lounge spaces, a juice bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, and shared seating areas create an environment that extends beyond workouts. Spa-inspired dressing rooms curated with Kiehl’s aim to balance intensity with a sense of calm, aligning with the club’s adults-only positioning.
As Life Time continues to refine its portfolio, the West Boca opening reflects a broader shift toward smaller, more targeted destinations that emphasize premium experiences, recovery, and community. The addition of CTR to the Florida market further underscores how reformer-based and athletic hybrid formats are becoming a core part of the high-end training mix, particularly as demand grows for workouts that deliver performance benefits without sacrificing longevity and joint health.
