GymNation has sold 3,000 memberships in just 24 hours ahead of the opening of its first location in Bahrain, set to open at Atrium Mall at the end of December. The early demand marks another strong new market debut for the operator.

The Bahrain launch represents GymNation’s third GCC market, following its expansion across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The brand currently operates 34 locations across those two countries and serves more than 150,000 members.

Alongside the Atrium Mall site, GymNation has confirmed a second Bahrain location at Oasis Plaza in Muharraq, scheduled to open in April 2026. Both locations will exceed 35,000 square feet and operate 24 hours a day, placing them among the largest fitness facilities in the Kingdom.

Each club is being built to accommodate a broad range of members, with large scale training floors and around the clock access. The facilities will include dedicated group exercise studios for HYROX training, Reformer Pilates, and LES MILLS programs, as well as extensive free weights, cardio, and machine assisted areas. Members will also have access to recovery zones and fully equipped ladies only sections.

GymNation launched in the UAE in 2018 and has expanded by focusing on full service gyms at price points aimed at mass participation rather than boutique positioning. Founder and CEO Loren Holland said the Bahrain locations follow the same operating model used in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, centered on scale, access, and affordability.

Josh Whiteley, Country Director for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, said the pre opening membership numbers at Atrium Mall point to strong local demand, reflecting growing interest in accessible, large format gym offerings in Bahrain.

The Bahrain expansion is part of a broader regional growth plan. GymNation is targeting 60 open locations and more than 300,000 members by the end of 2026, a move that would further strengthen its position as the largest fitness operator in the Middle East.
