Les Mills has piloted LES MILLS YOGA™, a four-part workout series aimed at helping health clubs scale their yoga offerings and respond to growing demand for wellness-focused programs. The series was tested over three months in Swedish gym chains Nordic Wellness, STC, and ACTIC.
The initiative comes amid rising consumer interest in activities that support both mental and physical wellbeing, with the global wellness economy reaching an estimated US $6.3 trillion. LES MILLS YOGA™ is designed to tackle common operational challenges such as inconsistent class delivery, limited accessibility for beginners, and shortages of qualified instructors. The classes require no specialized equipment, though mats are recommended.
The program features four formats: Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Breath. Each is positioned to address different member needs, from deep stretching and relaxation to mobility, alignment, and flow-based strength building.
“This isn’t just yoga,” said Fraser Beck, co-creator of LES MILLS YOGA. “It’s a four-part series bringing together powerful coaching and expert programming to open up various types of yoga for every body, every level, and every mindset. Activities that nurture mental wellbeing are becoming a top priority for members, so we wanted to make it easy for clubs to provide credible and effective mind/body movement that feels right for them and is easy to scale.”
According to Les Mills, the Swedish trial reported an 86 percent satisfaction rate among participants, with 87 percent saying they would recommend the classes to friends and 94 percent satisfied with instructor quality.
Sara Bohman, Group Training Manager at STC, said the trial helped her company expand yoga access. “Yoga is a massive opportunity for clubs, but it’s one we’ve struggled to fully grasp in the past. We wanted to expand our yoga offering across the estate, add new classes, and make it more accessible for our members. That’s when Les Mills came in and made it easy for us, because we were able to educate a lot of instructors in high-quality programming that’s fully packaged and ready to launch. The impact has been amazing, and we’ve seen 100% class occupancy in some of our gyms. It’s helping to reduce the barriers to yoga and get more members into our studio – which is exactly where we want them, as we know it’s the key to great retention.”
Les Mills has not yet announced wider rollout plans but says the program is designed for scalable implementation across global markets.
