Orangetheory Fitness Partners With HYROX

Fitness racing has become one of the fastest growing segments in the global fitness industry, drawing both recreational participants and competitive athletes to structured endurance and strength events. HYROX, in particular, has expanded rapidly across North America and Europe with a standardized race format that appeals to gym members looking for measurable outcomes, community driven competition, and year round training pathways. Operators across the sector have taken note as participation rates rise and member interest shifts toward formats that blend conditioning, functional strength, and clear goal setting.
Against this backdrop, Orangetheory Fitness is entering the space with a new partnership that designates select studios as official HYROX Affiliate Partners. Beginning December 1, participating locations will launch the OTF x HYROX training program, a structured series of specialty classes modeled on HYROX’s global race format.
The program will activate hundreds of HYROX Training Clubs within the Orangetheory network. These studios will offer custom sessions designed to prepare members for HYROX events or simply add performance focused structure to regular routines. The programming aligns closely with Orangetheory’s existing model of heart rate zone interval training, which integrates treadmill intervals, rowing, and functional strength work. This provides a direct training pathway for HYROX’s race structure that includes eight functional stations separated by one kilometer runs.
“HYROX tests what happens when strength meets stamina, and that is where Orangetheory shines,” said Scott Brown, Vice President of Fitness at Orangetheory. “Many people do not realize HYROX is predominantly an 8K race of compromised running, not just a test of strength and power. Orangetheory’s connected treadmill and rower intervals make it ideal conditioning for HYROX, and these new add on specialty classes give our HYROX minded members and coaches even more focus. It is exactly what they have been asking for.”
The collaboration reflects wider consumer interest in structured performance training with tangible benchmarks. For HYROX, working with established brick and mortar brands helps expand year round access to training in a format that appeals to recreational and competitive participants.
“Fitness has become the world’s most universal sport, uniting millions of athletes across gyms, boxes, and bootcamps around the world,” said David Magida, HYROX365 Global Head of Training. “At HYROX365, we believe training should not be limited by location or schedule; it should be accessible anywhere, anytime, 365 days a year. We are thrilled to have select Orangetheory studios affiliated with HYROX, giving their members the opportunity to train with purpose, experience the HYROX methodology through a platform that fits their lifestyle, and ultimately giving them the confidence to take on their first race.”
Studios that opt in will become official HYROX Training Clubs, offering programming tailored to developing the strength and endurance needed for HYROX competition. Participating locations will also be listed on the HYROX website and gain early access to race registrations in North America.
For Orangetheory, the partnership reinforces its emphasis on purposeful, measurable progress while adding a performance oriented pathway for members who seek event based goals. For HYROX, the move extends reach into a large network of consumers already accustomed to structured, coach led training.
The OTF x HYROX program is open to all fitness levels and designed to provide a supportive environment for members who want focused, goal driven conditioning with an option to pursue their first race.
