lululemon has unveiled its new athlete kit for Team Canada ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This will be the company’s third Games as Official Outfitter of Team Canada through its multi-year partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee. While the announcement centers on winter-sport apparel, many of the design principles reflect broader performance trends shaping fitness and athletic wear, including thermoregulation, adaptive fit, and athlete-led product development.
Calvin McDonald, CEO of lululemon, said, “In collaboration with Canada’s top athletes, we have applied insights and learnings from our last two Games to create a kit with deeper focus on innovation and inclusion, while delivering both function and style.” He added, “As a country that thrives in the cold, the Winter Games are particularly special to Canadians, and all of us at lululemon are incredibly proud to support Team Canada on the world’s largest sporting stage with product designed for athletes, and with athletes.”
lululemon spent two years consulting with athletes across Canada to understand the demands of competition, travel, and daily life throughout the Games cycle. The result is a kit built around thermoregulation, layering strategy, and insulation intended to help athletes transition from city temperatures to mountain venues. The collection also reflects a significant investment in inclusive and adaptive design. Feedback from Paralympians informed the creation of seated-fit apparel, adaptive footwear, abrasion-resistant fabrics, and features such as braille indicators and magnetic zippers. Visual elements draw from Canada’s geography, using topographic map patterns, maple leaf details, and a palette that moves from deep red to glacier-inspired greens and blues. The styling blends performance tailoring with modern silhouettes, using fabrics such as Merino Wool, Jacquard, and Translucent Glyde to present a polished look for ceremonies, media moments, and daily wear in the Athlete Village.
David Shoemaker, CEO and Secretary General of the Canadian Olympic Committee, said, “Canadian athletes are the best in the world, and it is only fitting that they have the best looking and most innovative team kit at the Games.” He added, “From the outset, lululemon has been an incredible partner of Team Canada, always understanding and putting the needs of athletes first in their design process and their entire approach to the partnership.” Karen O’Neill, CEO of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, said, “It has been incredible to see the athlete kit continue to evolve thanks to lululemon's commitment to working directly with athletes through every step of the process to understand their needs.” She noted, “This has resulted in our most inclusive and adaptive kit yet, that showcases how we all win when accessibility is at the forefront.”
lululemon also introduced its Team Canada Ambassadors for the Milano Cortina 2026 Games. The roster includes Sidney Crosby, Cynthia Appiah, William Dandjinou, Piper Gilles, Emma Maltais, Paul Poirier, Cassie Sharpe, Tyler Turner, and Natalie Wilkie. The company continues to support Canadian athletes through its Future Legacy program, which directs 10 percent of sales from Future Legacy items toward the Canadian Olympic Foundation and the Paralympic Foundation of Canada. For 2026, fan-focused additions include the Future Legacy Scarf, Crossbody Bag, and Warm Revelation Beanie.
The Team Canada x lululemon retail collection launches online in Canada and the United States beginning November 18, and in stores across Canada and in Milan beginning November 19. Additional products will roll out in the lead-up to the Games.
