Boys and Girls Clubs of America has named Planet Fitness as its official GivingTuesday match partner for 2025, a collaboration that will allow donors across the country to double their impact. On December 2, Planet Fitness will match donations to Boys and Girls Clubs of America up to 75,000 dollars, supporting programs that help young people access fitness, wellness and mentorship resources.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America reports that its fitness and wellbeing programs contribute to positive academic and emotional outcomes. Nearly 60 percent of Club participants engage in physical activity at least five days a week, 77 percent say they actively take care of their feelings and emotions, and 97 percent expect to graduate high school, which exceeds national averages.

Planet Fitness has supported Boys and Girls Clubs of America for a decade through the Judgement Free Generation initiative. The company states that it has invested more than 10.7 million dollars in youth focused programs, including the creation of mini Judgement Free Zones inside Clubs, trauma informed training for staff, volunteer opportunities and more than 1.65 million dollars in scholarships. According to the organizations, this support reaches more than 500,000 young people each year.

“We know that when young people have access to health and wellbeing resources, they are not just healthier, they are more likely to graduate, enter the workforce, and contribute to stronger communities. The generosity from Planet Fitness during this year’s GivingTuesday campaign will ensure that even more young people across the country can access safe spaces, caring mentors, and programs that build physical and emotional resilience,” said Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. “America needs Club Kids now more than ever, and we are proud to be strengthening a generation while giving kids a place to become their best selves alongside Planet Fitness.”

Both organizations highlight the broader economic impact of youth programs. Boys and Girls Clubs of America notes that every dollar invested in its network generates 10.32 dollars in economic value nationwide. The partnership also aligns with Planet Fitness’ growing Gen Z membership segment, which the company says values authenticity, belonging and wellbeing.

“Planet Fitness has been a proud partner of Boys and Girls Clubs of America for 10 years, empowering young people with the tools and resources they need to build lifelong healthy habits and thrive in life,” said Colleen Keating, Chief Executive Officer, Planet Fitness. “In fact, our High School Summer Pass program gave 3.7 million teens free access to Planet Fitness clubs just last year, resulting in 19 million workouts and measurable confidence gains. This year, we are thrilled to take our commitment to the next level, enabling donors to double the impact of their gift on GivingTuesday.”

The matching campaign will run on December 2 as part of GivingTuesday, a global movement focused on year end charitable giving.
