GymNation is continuing to deepen its investment in HYROX across the Middle East, expanding women’s programming, launching new competitive events, and positioning itself as one of the region’s most active operators in the fast-growing fitness racing category.

The gym chain announced that ladies-only HYROX sessions are expanding to a third market, while preparations are underway for the upcoming HYROX WEEKENDER event in Dubai this June.

The announcements build on a broader HYROX strategy already underway across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the rollout of HYROX LEAGUE competitions in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and the opening of the UAE’s first HYROX Performance Centre in Dubai.

According to GymNation, the company now operates dedicated HYROX-focused competitive and training offerings in every market it serves across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

The HYROX WEEKENDER is scheduled for June 13 and 14 at the Dubai Performance Centre and will feature singles and doubles divisions alongside a prize pool of AED 30,000. The event is designed to provide local athletes with an opportunity to compete regionally at a time when no official HYROX race dates have yet been confirmed for the Middle East.

The popularity of HYROX has continued to accelerate globally as fitness operators increasingly look to performance-based events, functional fitness, and community-driven competition to drive member engagement and retention.

GymNation said the expanded programming reflects demand from both members and the wider fitness community across the region.

In addition to competition growth, the operator is also expanding access through women-only programming. The Dubai Performance Centre will now offer dedicated ladies-only HYROX sessions led by female coaches in a women-focused training environment.

With the addition of Dubai, GymNation now offers ladies-only HYROX sessions across all three countries in which it operates.

“HYROX has exploded across the Middle East over the past few years, and the appetite from our members and the wider community to compete is enormous,” said Rory McEntee.

“With no races yet confirmed for the region, we simply weren’t willing to leave athletes waiting. Our commitment is simple: whatever your level, whatever your background, everyone in the Middle East deserves a proper competitive stage right here at home.”

The expansion also highlights how operators are increasingly building ecosystems around fitness racing and event-based training rather than treating HYROX strictly as a standalone competition.
