Les Mills has been named the Official Group Training Program Partner for HYROX, marking a new global partnership aimed at scaling participation in fitness racing through structured group training.
The collaboration brings together two operators with significant global reach. Combined, the brands connect with more than 30,000 gym partners and 175,000 instructors and coaches worldwide. The agreement focuses on programming, coach development, and event-based activations designed to support both operators and participants.
At the center of the partnership is the launch of two new group training formats: CEREMONY HYROX and CEREMONY HYROX MAX. The programs are based on the existing LES MILLS CEREMONY functional circuit model and are designed to prepare members for HYROX competition while maintaining a group training format built around coaching, music, and structured workouts.
The offering will be packaged for operators alongside HYROX affiliation and access to the HYROX365 training platform. The intent is to give clubs a turnkey pathway to integrate race-based training into their existing group fitness schedules.
From a programming standpoint, Les Mills brings a science-led development model that includes input from sports scientists, physiologists, and movement specialists. That framework will now be applied to HYROX-specific preparation, targeting both general members and competitive participants.
HYROX, founded in 2017 by Christian Toetzke and Olympic gold medallist Moritz Fürste, has positioned itself as a standardized global fitness race format. The concept spans multiple levels, from youth participation through to elite competition, with the aim of building a fully developed sports category around fitness racing.
Les Mills has its own roots in high-performance sport. Founded by Olympian Les Mills and later expanded by Phillip Mills, the company scaled by turning traditional strength and endurance training into coached group experiences. Today, its programs are delivered in more than 23,000 gyms across 120 countries.
The partnership reflects a broader convergence between group fitness and competitive training formats. Operators are increasingly looking for ways to combine community-driven classes with goal-based training, particularly as event-based fitness continues to gain traction.
For HYROX, the agreement provides access to an established global distribution network and coaching infrastructure. For Les Mills, it adds a competitive training layer to its group fitness ecosystem, aligning with the growing interest in performance-driven programming.
The deal signals continued momentum for fitness racing as it moves closer to becoming a defined category within the broader fitness industry, supported by structured programming inside clubs rather than relying solely on event participation.
