Peloton and the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix are partnering to bring a series of fitness experiences to race week. The collaboration includes live class recordings in Las Vegas, new scenic content and programming designed for Peloton members who want to engage with the event from anywhere.
Peloton will host a full class series at the Awakening Theatre at Wynn Las Vegas. The production setup reflects the format typically found in Peloton’s permanent studios. The program features a mix of cycling, running and core training sessions led by Peloton instructors Alex Toussaint, Becs Gentry and Emma Lovewell. The lineup includes two rides, a run and a core class, all filmed on the theater stage.
Peloton will also release a Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Class Collection on its platform. The four classes recorded at Wynn Las Vegas will be available as a series that includes two cycling classes, one running class and one strength class.
In addition, Peloton and the Las Vegas Grand Prix have created exclusive scenic content that enables members to ride or run virtually on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. The footage was recorded on the 3.8 mile track, which features 17 turns. The scenic experience will be available only on Peloton equipment.
“Our commitment is always to surprise and excite our Members, and we are doing that on an unprecedented scale at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. For the first time, we are delivering our signature hardware class experience in the heart of the action, while also capturing a truly unique Scenic experience with exclusive access to the Las Vegas Strip Circuit,” said Peloton Chief Content Officer Jen Cotter. “We are excited to bridge the world of elite racing and daily fitness, offering our community new content that is just as compelling and rigorous as the race itself.”
Peloton will continue its Cross Training Series campaign during race week, featuring promotional placements inspired by the precision and performance of Formula 1 teams.
“The world of racing and the connected wellness space may sound like a surprising combination, but this collaboration is allowing us to bring two high energy and passionate communities together. The dedication required to shave a millisecond off a lap time is mirrored perfectly by the endorphin rush our Members chase in every workout,” said Peloton Chief Marketing Officer Megan Imbres. “We are thrilled to be the Official Fitness Partner of this year’s race, ready to bring the unmatched energy of Peloton to one of the world's most exhilarating sporting events.”
Officials from the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix say the partnership is designed to broaden the race week experience.
“The Las Vegas Grand Prix is focused on delivering an unrivaled spectacle, and our partnership with Peloton significantly amplifies that experience and brings in new audiences,” said Emily Prazer, President and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. “This collaboration allows us to bring a fresh, performance driven element to race week. By bringing the Las Vegas Strip Circuit into Peloton’s unique ecosystem, we are creating innovative fitness experiences that truly take the energy and excitement of race week to the next level for their community of millions.”
Peloton’s programming will run throughout Las Vegas Grand Prix race week, which takes place in late November. The class recordings, scenic content and promotional elements are scheduled to align with the official event dates.
